The founder of his eponymous law firm, Donald De Leon divides his practice among employment law, personal injury litigation and business matters. Based in Santa Monica, California, he provides representation to clients throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and other parts of the state. Mr. De Leon has been admitted to practice in California since 2009.Mr. De Leon's employment law practice is limited to the representation of current, former and prospective employees. One area that he has worked on extensively during his career involves claims of discrimination arising under various federal and state laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. Mr. De Leon also has extensive experience in wage and hour claims governed by the Fair Labor Standards Act, and he has represented people who have been the victims of wrongful termination or other acts of prohibited retaliation.In his personal injury litigation practice, Mr. De Leon provides advice and counsel to people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence of other parties. Mr. De Leon's business clients have included cooperatives, arts organizations and social enterprises, and his work in this regard has encompassed formation, regulatory compliance and intellectual property protection.Majoring in economics, Mr. De Leon attended the University of Notre Dame and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1999. After obtaining a Master of Theological Studies from the Franciscan School of Theology, he pursued his legal education at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and he served on the California Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2009.
